Second Verse Same as the First on a Tough Thursday

COLUMBUS, OH - The Columbus Clippers got a reset Thursday after having lost the completion of a suspended game, 10-2. The regularly scheduled contest didn't go much better as St. Paul Saints won again, this time by the score of 8-6.

The Clippers fell behind early but tied the game in the bottom of the 2nd inning thanks to a two-run double by center fielder Alfonsin Rosario.

Then in the 3rd, Daniel Schneemann and Ralphy Velazquez smacked back-to-back home runs. Later in the inning, a sacrifice fly by Milan Tolentino made the score 5-3 in favor of Columbus.

Things took a turn for the worse beginning in the 5th when St. Paul scored five times in two innings. In their final at-bat in the bottom of the 7th, Velazquez narrowed the gap to two with a RBI single, but in the end Columbus lost 8-6.

The loss went to right-handed reliever Carlos Hernandez (0-1) . Columbus now owns an overall record this season of 64-56, while St. Paul improves to 71-51.
