Monsters Sign Defenseman Robby Drainer to One-Year AHL Contract

The Cleveland Monsters announced Thursday that the Monsters signed defenseman Robby Drazner to a one-year, two-way AHL/ECHL contract for the 2026-27 season. Drazner posted 0-1-1 with six penalty minutes in two appearances for the AHL’s Abbotsford Canucks last season and added 4-11-15 with 24 penalty minutes in 52 appearances for the ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings in his first professional campaign.

In 115 career NCAA appearances spanning five seasons with Miami (OH) University (2020-24) and Western Michigan (2024-25), Drazner logged 11-17-28 with 59 penalty minutes and helped Western Michigan claim the 2024-25 NCHC Regular Season and Tournament Championships and the NCAA Championship. In two BCHL seasons, Drazner supplied 9-45-54 with 63 penalty minutes in 115 games played for the Nanaimo Clippers.
