Cleveland Cavaliers and DAZN Announce Exclusive Multi-Year Local Broadcast Partnership

The Cleveland Cavaliers and DAZN today announced a multi-year partnership bringing Cavaliers basketball and original team content to fans exclusively through DAZN’s leading global sports entertainment platform. Beginning with the 2026-27 NBA season, DAZN becomes the new direct-to-fan destination for Cavaliers games and storytelling, streaming all regular season games not selected exclusively for national broadcast, preseason contests and team-produced original programming.

As part of the agreement, the Cavaliers will move game production in-house through Rock Entertainment Sports Network (RESN), their Emmy Award-winning studio. The next-generation broadcast will feature predictive AI, data-driven visual overlays and mixed- and augmented-reality elements for a more immersive viewing experience. Production expands from 6 to 19 cameras, including Cosm's ultra-high resolution 10.5K systems for sweeping perspectives and new angles of the action. Fans can customize their viewing experience with alternative broadcasts or build their own multi-view setup in the app. Cavaliers fans will continue to enjoy their familiar on-air team: play-by-play announcer John Michael, analyst Brad Daugherty, reporter Serena Winters and pre- and postgame host Cayleigh Griffin.

"The investment we're making in our broadcast platform creates a fan-centric destination that enriches the experience while simplifying how fans connect to Cavaliers basketball," said Nic Barlage, CEO of Rock Entertainment Group, Cleveland Cavaliers and Rocket Arena. "By coupling our in-house production capabilities at RESN with DAZN's industry-leading platform, we're bringing our fans a broadcast built on advanced technology and engagement, resulting in a more immersive and personalized experience.”

“The United States is a key growth market for DAZN, and the Cleveland Cavaliers are exactly the kind of forward-thinking partner we want to build with as we expand our local sports offering,” said Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group. “DAZN is becoming the platform where fans can follow the teams and competitions they care about most through a modern and digital-first viewing experience. Together with the Cavs, we're bringing fans closer to the team while helping shape the future of direct-to-consumer sports distribution.”
