Cavaliers Announce 2025-26 NBA Regular Season Schedule, presented by SeatGeek

CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Cavaliers have announced their 2025-26 NBA regular season schedule presented by SeatGeek, the organization’s official ticketing partner. The season tips off with consecutive road games, beginning Wednesday, Oct. 22 at New York at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN/ESPN App, followed by a matchup in Brooklyn on Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Cavaliers' home opener will take place at Rocket Arena on Sunday, Oct. 26 against Milwaukee at 6:00 p.m. ET. The Cavaliers are slated to play 82 regular season games, including 20 weekend home dates comprised of seven Friday games, four Saturday games and nine Sunday games. 

The Wine & Gold will also make 24 national television appearances this upcoming season:

• 5 games on NBC/Peacock: Dec. 29 at SAS, Jan. 19 vs. OKC (MLK Day), Feb. 24 vs. NYK, March 17 at MIL, and March 24 vs. ORL
• 5 games on Peacock (Exclusive): Oct. 27 at DET, Nov. 17 vs. MIL, Nov. 24 at TOR, Dec. 22 vs. CHA, and Jan. 26 vs. ORL
• 4 games on Amazon Prime Video: Nov. 21 vs. IND, Jan. 10 vs. MIN, April 2 at GSW, and April 10 at ATL
• 3 games on ABC/ESPN App: Dec. 25 at NYK (Christmas Day), Feb. 22 at OKC, and March 8 vs. BOS

*The Christmas Day game will also be broadcast on ESPN Radio.

Highlights of the home schedule for the 2025-26 season include a pair of visits from the Indiana Pacers (Nov. 21 on Prime and April 5) and Boston Celtics (Nov. 30 and March 8 on ABC/ESPN App). The Cavaliers will host the defending NBA Champion Oklahoma City Thunder for a special Martin Luther King Jr. Day game on Jan. 19 on NBC/Peacock. Additional marquee opponents making their lone visit to Cleveland this season include the Houston Rockets on Nov. 19, the San Antonio Spurs on Dec. 5, the Golden State Warriors on Dec. 6, the Denver Nuggets on Jan. 2, the Minnesota Timberwolves on Jan. 10 (Prime), the Los Angeles Lakers on Jan. 28 (ESPN/ESPN App), the New York Knicks on Feb. 24 (NBC/Peacock), and the Dallas Mavericks on March 15.

On the road, Cleveland will make history by taking part in the NBA’s first-ever Peacock-exclusive broadcast when they square off against the Detroit Pistons on Oct. 27. Additionally, the Cavaliers will return to one of the league’s most celebrated traditions, playing on Christmas Day for the first time since 2017 when they visit Madison Square Garden to face the New York Knicks in a nationally televised matchup on ABC/ESPN App.

Cleveland will also participate in the Emirates NBA Cup 2025, which will tip off Friday, Oct. 31 and continue through Friday, Nov. 28. Each NBA team will play four designated Group Play games on “Cup Nights”. The Cavaliers are set to compete in East Group A against teams in their pool: Oct. 31 vs. Toronto, Nov. 7 at Washington, Nov. 21 vs. Indiana (Prime) and Nov. 28 at Atlanta. Eight teams (four per conference) will advance to the Knockout Rounds — single-elimination games in the Quarterfinals scheduled for Dec. 9–10 in NBA markets — followed by the Semifinals (Dec. 13) and Championship (Dec. 16) in Las Vegas. All Emirates NBA Cup games will count toward the regular-season standings except the Championship game. On days when Emirates NBA Cup Knockout Round games are not scheduled (Dec. 11–12 and Dec. 14–15), the 22 teams that do not qualify will each play two regular season games.

The Cavaliers are scheduled to match up against each Eastern Conference opponent four times with the exception of Boston (two home, one away), Brooklyn (one home, two away), Charlotte (one home, two away), New York (one home, two away), Toronto (two home, one away) and Washington (two home, one away). Each Western Conference opponent will play the Cavaliers twice – once at Rocket Arena and once on the road. Additional games against opponents can be added pending Cleveland’s Emirates NBA Cup results.

Other ‘stats’ on the 2025-26 schedule include:

• 7 games on ESPN/ESPN App: Oct. 22 at NYK, Oct. 29 at BOS, Jan. 14 at PHI, Jan. 21 at CHA, Jan. 28 vs. LAL, Feb. 27 at DET, and March 11 at ORL
• 14 sets of back-to-back games, including four home-home sets (Dec. 5-6, Dec. 22-23, March 8-9, March 24-25), seven home-road sets (Oct. 26-27, Nov. 23-24, Nov. 30-Dec. 1, Jan. 23-24, Feb. 19-20, Feb. 24-25, April 5-6), one road-road set (March 30-31) and two road-home sets (Nov. 7-8, Nov. 12-13).
• The Cavaliers’ longest homestand is six games over 11 days (Nov. 13-23), featuring contests versus Toronto (Nov. 13), Memphis (Nov. 15), Milwaukee (Nov. 17 on Peacock), Houston (Nov. 19), Indiana (Nov. 21 on Prime) and the L.A. Clippers (Nov. 23).
• Cleveland will play five straight road games over an 11-day stretch (Jan. 30-Feb. 9). The team also has four three-game road trips (Dec. 25-29, Feb. 21-March 1, March 17-21, and March 30-April 2) and eight two-game road trips (Oct. 22-24, Oct. 27-29, Nov. 10-12, Nov. 24-28, Jan. 6-8, Jan. 14-16, Feb. 20-22, and March 11-13).
• Holiday games include Halloween (Oct. 31 vs. Toronto), Christmas Day (Dec. 25 at New York on ABC/ESPN App & ESPN Radio), New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31 vs. Phoenix), MLK Day (Jan. 19 vs. Oklahoma City on NBC/Peacock), St. Patrick’s Day (March 17 at Milwaukee on NBC/Peacock) and Easter (April 5 vs. Indiana).
• Two of Cleveland’s four Emirates NBA Cup games will take place at Rocket Arena (Oct. 31 vs. Toronto and Nov. 21 vs. Indiana on Prime).
• Six matinee games at home this season – Wednesday, Dec. 31 vs. Phoenix at 3:30 p.m. ET, Sunday, Jan. 4 vs. Detroit at 2:00 p.m. ET, Saturday, Jan. 10 vs. Minnesota at 1:00 p.m. ET (Prime), Monday, Jan. 19 vs. Oklahoma City at 2:30 p.m. ET (MLK Day, NBC/Peacock), Sunday, March 8 vs. Boston at 1:00 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN App), and Sunday, March 15 vs. Dallas at 3:30 pm. 
• The Cavaliers will play 15 games each in November, January and March during the 2025-26 season. Cleveland will also play six games in October, 14 games in December, 11 games in February and six games in April.  
• Cleveland will finish the season playing 20 of their last 33 games on the road; The season finale will take place at Rocket Arena where the Cavaliers face the Washington Wizards on Sunday, April 12.
