The AHL’s Cleveland Monsters announced Sunday that the team signed forward Joshua Eernisse to a pro tryout (PTO) contract for the remainder of the 2025-26 season. In 38 NCAA appearances for the University of Michigan this season, Eernisse posted 11-8-19 with 37 penalty minutes and a +17 rating, helping the Wolverines claim the Big Ten Championship and a trip to the Frozen Four while capturing the Big Ten’s Sportsmanship Award.
A 6’3”, 216 lb. right-shooting native of Apple Valley, MN, Eernisse, 24, contributed 34-31-65 with 170 penalty minutes and a +9 rating in 151 career NCAA appearances spanning four seasons with the University of St. Thomas (2022-23) and Michigan (2023-26). In two USHL campaigns for the Tri-City Storm from 2020-22, Eernisse supplied 10-14-24 with 73 penalty minutes and a +16 rating.
