Cavaliers Status Update
The Cleveland Cavaliers released status updates on Larry Nance Jr., Jarrett Allen and Sam Merrill.

Cavaliers forward Larry Nance Jr. injured his right calf during Friday night’s game at Atlanta. An MRI on Saturday at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health revealed a Grade 1 soleus strain. Nance Jr. will begin treatment and is expected to miss approximately 3-4 weeks.
Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen will be listed as OUT versus Boston with a right finger strain. Allen previously missed three consecutive games with the injury before playing in Friday’s game at Atlanta. On October 29, Allen sustained a non-displaced fracture in his left ring finger and missed the Cavaliers next two games. Allen will miss approximately one week and his return to play will be updated as appropriate.
Cavaliers guard Sam Merrill remains OUT after injuring his right hand (sprain) on November 17 versus Milwaukee. Merrill has missed the last five games and is considered day-to-day. His return to play will be updated as appropriate.
